To understand my regimen, you should have a little background on my lifestyle and my hair.  As to my lifestyle, I work a lot, and I am hanging out with my kindergartner and toddler when I'm not working.  Thus, I have to streamline my routine.  I don't have the luxury of deep conditioning after my shampoo because I may never make it back to the shower to rinse out the deep conditioner.  Also, to cut down on the amount of time it takes to get ready in the morning, I usually wear a simple protective style during the week and, then, I play with my hair on the weekends, vacations and holidays.

As to my hair, I have fine, medium-high density, low porosity hair.  It is very difficult to get moisture into my hair.  Also, it needs protein, but not heavy protein.  I need products that will saturate my density, but not so heavy that they will overpower my fine strands.  For example, the best leave-ins for me are lotion like in texture.

My Weekly Regimen
  1. Deep condition overnight
  2. Shampoo
  3. Put rinse-out conditioner in and leave it for 5 minutes
  4. Detangle with fingers, and then a wide tooth comb (if needed)
  5. Rinse out the conditioner
  6. Use a t-shirt or microfiber towel to absorb water from my hair for 15 to 20 minutes
  7. Apply leave-in
  8. Style

Daily Regimen (every morning and night)
  1. Moisturize with a homemade oil/water spritz
  2. Seal with a hair lotion
